Inside and Outreach: Winter Newsletter 2011

Message from Youth Services Director

It’s a new year and at Youth Services we’re excited about the possibilities that await us in 2011.

As we reflect on the past year, we made a number of improvements in our efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of children, youth and families.

We launched a Day Treatment Substance Abuse program in our Riverton location, opened a Homeless Youth Walk-In Program at our Juvenile Receiving Center and expanded our outreach efforts by creating a “Youth Booth” blog to provide helpful tips and topics of interest to youth, parents and youth professionals.

Although we have made progress, there is always more to be done for the at-risk youth and families we serve.  Our goals to better our services in 2011 are the following:

•Youth Services is actively present in places where youth and families are and provide the services they need
•Youth feel self empowered, listened to and supported
•Youth and families have new skills to navigate their future
•Staff feel they are a valued part of the team and are invested in making a difference

We welcome any suggestions and feedback on how we can better serve you and appreciate the support from the community. Please note that our phone numbers are changing at the end of this month. Update your contacts with Youth Services new main number 385.468.4500.

Stay informed by signing up for our newsletter so you can get the latest updates sent directly to you.  Here’s to a great new year!
