About Maria Drummond, CTRS

I am the Recreation Therapist with Youth Services. I also work very closely with volunteer groups and community partners. It's my job to provide our shelter clients with opportunities to build self confidence and gain life skills, as well as learn to value simple healthy recreation, both on campus and in the community. I also strive to provide our clients with memorable opportunities to connect with their community in healthy ways. This could be as simple as taking a child to the zoo for the first time in her life, or providing a teen with the chance to see the new release all his peers are talking about at school. I LOVE the work I get to do with these kids and teens!!
